"Balzakken" is a Dutch word that translated to "ball sacks", i.e. scrotums.

Balzakken is a card game played with cards that have values ranging from -1 to 11. At the start of the game, players are dealt five cards. They then attempt to lower the value of their hand to below 5. Each turn, they can either discard one or more cards with the same value, and then draw one card, or they can exchange one card from their hand with the top card of the discard pile. If a player's hand value is five or less at the start of their turn, they can end the round. At that point, all other players score points equal to the value of their hand, and a new round begins.

In addition to the regular cards, the game features two action cards. A player can use these instead of performing a normal turn. As long as a player holds an action card, they cannot end the round.

The game ends when a player reaches 100 points or more. At that point, the player with the fewest points wins the game.
